China's pesticide manufacturing includes chemical pesticide and biochemical pesticide and microbial pesticide manufacturing

Pesticide manufacturing means for prevention and control of agriculture, forestry, crop disease, insect, grass and rat, and other harmful organisms, regulating plant growth of a variety of chemical pesticides, microbial pesticide, biological chemical pesticides, and corrosion of storage, agriculture and forestry products, rivers, DAMS, railways, airports, buildings and other places use technical and production preparation activities.According to the manufacturing classification standards of the National Bureau of Statistics, China's pesticide manufacturing industry includes chemical pesticide manufacturing and biochemical pesticide and microbial pesticide manufacturing two fine molecular industries.From the point of view of production, pesticide manufacturing can be divided into two links: active drug and preparation.

Pesticides are important means of agricultural production and disaster relief materials.Since 2007, China has surpassed the United States to become the world's largest pesticide producer.During the 11th Five-Year Plan period (2006-2010), China's pesticide output grew by 15.3 percent annually, reaching 2.342 million tons by 2010.China's pesticide production has the following characteristics: first, the enterprise scale is small, the industry concentration is low.By the end of 2011, there were only 9 large-scale pesticide manufacturers in China, accounting for 1.16% of the total number of enterprises in the industry.CR9 is 11.82, while the global top CR8 is more than 80%.Second, the product structure is not reasonable.Due to the lack of scientific and technological innovation capacity, China has a surplus of low-end products and a shortage of high-end products.Take the glyphosate industry as an example. From 2010 to 2011, the operating rate of China's glyphosate industry was only about 5-60%.However, high-tech environmental protection products with high efficiency, low toxicity and low residue are largely dependent on imports.

From the perspective of demand, China is the world's largest consumer of pesticides.During the eleventh Five-Year Plan period, China's apparent pesticide consumption increased by an average of 18.6 percent annually, 3.3 percentage points higher than the output growth rate, and reached 1.78 million tons by the end of 2010, accounting for 76 percent of the output of pesticides in the same period.China's pesticide demand has the following characteristics: First, domestic demand is the main, the growth rate is relatively stable.In 2010, China exported 613,000 tons of pesticides, accounting for 26.2% of the output in the same period.Second, seasonality is prominent.Similar to chemical fertilizer, annual April-October is the peak season for consumption.At the same time, short-term consumption is greatly affected by weather factors such as plum rain.Thirdly, excessive use of chemical pesticides with high toxicity and residue causes serious environmental pollution.

Industrial restructuring is an important task during the 12th Five-Year Plan period.According to the 12th Five-Year Plan of Agricultural Industry formulated by the National Development and Reform Commission, China's agricultural industry will strive to accomplish the following tasks in 2015: First, vigorously adjust the industrial structure.By encouraging mergers and reorganizations, the top 20 pesticide manufacturers aim to account for more than 50% of the total output of active drugs by 2015.To form 3-5 industrial parks with moderate scale, complete supporting facilities and high management level with obvious pesticide characteristics;We will give priority to the development of pesticides and herbicides that are highly efficient, safe and environmentally friendly, and the proportion of varieties with high toxicity and residues has dropped from 5% in 2012 to 3%.Second, we should enhance our capacity for scientific and technological innovation.A scientific research system combining production, education and research should be formed, and the development of generic, key and integrated technologies in the pesticide industry should be intensified.Third, we should develop and promote cleaner production processes, vigorously develop circular economy and comprehensive utilization of resources, and improve the efficiency of comprehensive utilization of resources.
