Avinash Singh has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry
Singh has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Having accrued more than 20 years in the performance and recording industry, Mr. Singh has garnered a laudable reputation as a musician, band director and producer. His earliest inspiration was his father, a musician with multiple hit songs in his native Guyana. Mr. Singh attributes his standout success to the natural talent he inherited from his father, and to the encouragement and support he received from his mother.
By the age of 13, Mr. Singh had built his own recording studio, Avi Singh Studio. He operated the studio and produced music for clients until 2010, gaining a foothold in the industry and developing a reputation for his talent and professionalism at a remarkably young age. He began his first band, the Supertones Band, a touring soca chutney ensemble, in 1996. By 1997, Mr. Singh was producing their records and live performances, and by 2001, he had begun arranging the band's music.
In 2018, Mr. Singh began Latitude28 Band, a genre-bending cover band known for their dynamic arrangements and high production-value live show. Latitude28 Band has performed in the Bahamas, South America, and across the United States, and began recording original music in 2019. Their first original single, "Magic," was released in 2019, and the band aspires to release a full album in 2020. In addition to his work managing and marketing the band, producing and arranging music, and designing performances, Mr. Singh plays keyboards in the ensemble.
Mr. Singh holds an Associate of Arts in computer engineering from Queensborough Community College, and published a self-help guide to manifestation, "The Law of Attraction and Gratitude," in 2017. He has composed the score of a feature film, "Forgotten Promise," as well as a television commercial. For his efforts, Mr. Singh was bestowed with a West Indian Music Award.
An avid civic advocate, Mr. Singh is a prolific volunteer with the Amaya Children's Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting the welfare of children globally through community-level projects to build schools and provide access to medical care, food, and sanitation. His passion for humanitarian action began during Hurricane Katrina, when he joined relief efforts, and continues today, as he uses his band's international touring schedule to advocate for children worldwide by raising awareness of child trafficking and exploitation. Outside of his professional and volunteer circles, Mr. Singh maintains involvement with the Lake Nona Regional Chamber of Commerce.
